This post is dedicated to the Sagada-philes among you and for the iSagadas away from home. I think the song was written and composed by Dennis Faustino of St. Mary's School. Video credit goes to shayenne88.
Just a correction on the lyrics that you'll see in the video: * It's "traveled hills" not "troubled hills" * It's "all laden with pine" not "O'laden with pines" * It's "dressed in green" not "dress in green" * It's "spawned my love" not "spoiled my love"
I think there are other minor corrections but I'm not 100% sure myself so let's let it stand for the moment.
By the way, kudos to the person who made the video.

Ay kakabsat ken kakailiyan, hehe, i-promote ko man daytoy barbaro nga blog ko. I felt guilty and silly writing sponsored posts in this blog and in our other blog so I decided to come up with a new blog where I can do sponsored posts shamelessly. Eh dahil malapit na din ang Olympics and one of my first ever writing assignment years ago is to do an Olympic story so I decided to come up with The Olympian Blog.
I need your feedback on how to improve it further. It is still a work in progress so all suggestions, criticisms, etc. are welcome. Can I also shamelessly beg for a love link from your blogs? I will link back of course hehe.
This photo is actually from Sagada in Dagestan, Russia. We mentioned Sagada, Dagestan in an earlier post (What? Sagada is Not Unique?) that a reader didn't like hehe. Photo credit: tsumada.ru
Performed by our Manobo brothers from Mindanao. Uploaded by an e-Mankayan based in Canada. Viewed by all of us to start our week in a prayerful mood. Don't you just love the internets?
Do you like our blog's new design? Pretty cool, huh? Anyways, I've been looking for new templates to use for our blog and I found really good ones at ourblogtemplates.com. They're free. You should go there to look at all the great templates available.
If you picked one that you like, all you have to do is download the html/xml code and use that code in your template.
Now, it is likely that you will lose the links, categories, archive, widgets, etc which you placed in your sidebar. So I suggest that you save them first and then upload them again when you have your new template in place.
When it comes to the links, it would be very taxing if you save and upload each link individually so I suggest that you just copy all of them in one go (click from the top of your links, scroll down the bottom, copy, and paste them in a separate blog post). By the way, when you make a post for the links you copied, make sure you are in the "Compose" mode rather than in the "Edit Html" mode.
I'm not sure how much detail/instruction to put here actually hehe. All I really wanted to do is to point out the free templates available out there. Aside from ourblogtemplates.com, you can also look at the following: New Beta Templates, Wow Blogger Templates, and Blogcrowds. I like ourblogtemplates best because they're pretty easy to customize.
You can email me if you decide to change your template and need assistance doing so. Or you can notify me in the comments.
Folks, let's help a kailiyan win a blog contest and get featured as the Pinoy Blog of the Week. The Meliorist blogs about global warming which is an important issue to all of us global dwellers. Unfortunately, there are those who deny that there is such a thing as global warming; like Dubya and his cabal who invaded Iraq to get their hands on that country's rich oil resources.
Anyways, how do we vote for The Meliorist? Simply visit her site, scroll down a bit, look at the brown/yellowish box in the left sidebar, check Savetheearth-now, click vote, and you're done. I think you can also vote for it in the blog that does this Pinoy Blog of the Week contest but I can't find it now.
The voting ends on Sunday, midnight (yata), Philippine standard time. I think you can vote more than once if you have a non-permanent IP.

Wow. She should have just answered in whatever her native tongue is.
Meanwhile, over there in the land of milk and honey, Ms. Teen South Carolina was asked why some Americans can't locate their country in a world map. She goes:
What's that again? This is what she said:
I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the US should help the US, uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for our children.
So which one gave the better answer in terms of awfulness? As Pong Pagong would say, "Alin, alin, alin ang mas magaling?"

What kind of country has the Philippines become such that an ad like this appears in Craigslist?
I was like, dude, you're looking for a maid. What's "prettiness" got to do with it? Does a maid have to be pretty before she knows how to clean your house? Or to cook adobo? Or to wash your dirty underwear? Seriously. What's up with that requirement? One would think that the ad placer, being an American, would be sensitive to this kind of work-related discrimination but I think sensitivity to this kind of thing gets thrown out of the window when one lives in the Philippines. After all, Filipino employers do look for people with "pleasing personality".
And here's another Craigslist post that made me go, "hmmm". A foreigner likes it here in the Philippines,
Because he can live like a king in Baguio. Wow. The. Life. Maybe. I. Should. Be. Jealous?
The Sagada Lemon Pie, the best lemon pie in the world. Seriously! (Disclosure: I'm a relative of the owner. But this is an unbiased, objective assessment. Hehe.) You can learn more about the lemon pie here.
